Ending a chapter

A few days ago, we went for a drive, just around the island for a change of scenery...

Crofton paper mill just off center there...

Booth Bay

What a looker! Barely able to walk 100 yards after what I just put my body through, but still cute!

Since we're moving.... oh yeah I haven't given details of that yet.... next post probably..... we went to see some friends - socially distanced of course.

Wonderous sights you get without being under trees...

Robin & Sylvia built this fabulous tiny home a couple of years ago

Back at home, Robbie was hot in our little sliver of sunshine so I propped some shade over him - spoiled rotten.

1 of my 2 good sons... obviously this one takes after his mother... Proud Mama.

Okay so being in the trees is a bad idea for so many reasons.... not the least of which being....

Before, but after being swept off... just 6 months worth.

What an absolute state it was...

All cleaned...

That was a lot of work and we shan't be parking under trees ever again!

Editor's Note: All the roof patches are due to the RV dealership installing the solar panels in all the wrong places. Do Not have a dealership install solar -- its worth the extra $$ to get it done right.

Aaaaaaarrrggghh!

Well, I did it. I started to bake.

I turned on the oven and let it warm up while I made tart crusts. Checked the temperature and learned that I have to set the temp 25F higher than I want it to be to get it to where I need it to be. Learning the easy way...

However, as this is the 2nd time I've ever turned this propane oven on -- the stench is literally running us out of the house. Brad isn't sure he can sleep in here tonight. Clearly they used OFF to clean the oven before we bought it and I've only heated it up once before so YIKES it stinks in here.

Brad has asked that I leave it until we either repair or replace this one.

Suffice to say, I'm thinking of outsourcing to Safeway.

We have Arrived! and need advice again

We moved yesterday to our new spot on Salt Spring Island. It is very similar to the campground, we are still in the forest but now there is no one driving down the driveway, no campers to appease, no gate to lock, no showers to open.... hope I can get used to this.

Ace in position

We have something happening here.... anyone?! I've seen this before on other rigs so I know its a thing but what causes it and more important - what do we have to do to fix it?

This is our quick set up on moving day, not sure how we will end up arranging it, but for now this is what we've got. There will be a shed upgraded to accommodate the storage stuff there on the left.

There was a pressure issue with the water supply yesterday when we were hooking up but the owner is out this morning first thing getting that sorted - meanwhile we are working from our onboard tank. Don't expect it will take him long to sort this out, so its not a problem.

So far the new site is working out well.
